9. The Italian Job (9 out of 10)

The Italian job is about a group of thieves who plan to steal the money they feel they are entitled too from a former member. The group gains a new member, even though it goes against their rule of being in it for emotional reasons.

The remake of the Italian Job was very appealing to me. I have never seen the original movie, but I have a feeling that i would still appreciate the newer one. movies like the Italian Job, for example the Oceans Eleven, Twelve, and Thirteen movies, are my favorite types of movies. I love the action, the extremely thought out plots for the heists, and always a shock at the end of how the main characters get away with the whole thing, and it totally throws you off. Action and heist movies overall are very entertaining in my opinion.

One of the only things that I did not like about this movie was that an actor that I really like, Edward Norton, had to play the ‘bad guy’ role. However, he did do a very good job of playing that part. I also really enjoyed on how it was filmed and the settings. Apparently the streets of Venice, Italy, and Los Angeles were closed so they could do this movie. I like that it was not all done on a set, which just bothers. Overall, I thought this movie was wonderful, but I would really love to see the original British Italian Job just to see the differences in the story.
