18.

1. Finding Nemo- Finding Nemo was extremely cute computer production that I will always consider one of my favorite movies. I love the sincere humor, and how creative they were with the underwater world.

2. Raiders of the Lost Ark- Raiders of the Lost Ark is a treasured classic movie with exciting adventure and bizarre made up history facts that draw in any one's interest.

3. Wall-E- Wall-E was another animated film I really was excited with watching in this class. I enjoyed how it kind of gave off the essence of the creators wanting people to do things to protect the earth.

4. The Dark Night- I really love movies made after comics so the dark night was definitely a treat to watch in class. I enjoyed the surprising evilness of the movie and how sadistic it secretly was.

5. The Bourne Identity- The Bourne Identity had an interesting plot and great action, if war-like movies are appealing to you.

6. The Italian Job- The Italian Job was a fantastic heist movie that gave off great suspense and had gnarly action scenes.

7. The Karate Kid- Karate Kid is a well recognized 80's movie that will be known for generations to come due to its genuine characters and heart-felt struggle.

8. The Spanish Prisoner- The Spanish Prisoner had an interesting and completely surprising plot, but overall the entire production was boring and dull and didn't catch much or any of my interest. It is not a movie I would enjoy seeing again.

9. Serendipity- I found Serendipity to be one of the most corny, predictable and completely boring films that I have ever seen. I consider it to have been the easiest way to have wasted time.

Films I didn't see; Rocky III, Iron Man, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Never Back Down.

16. Indiana Jones (10 out of 10)

Raiders of the Lost Ark follows Indiana Jones, an archaeologist, on yet another wild adventure around the world. in this adventure he must find, the holy grail, dating back to the most ancient of times and keep it from the the U.S. greatest enemy at the time, the German Nazi's.

I enjoy all of the Indiana Jones movies, excluding the newest one, Kingdom of the Crystal Skull released in 2008 due to my having not seen it. I could not get enough of the story line of Raiders of the Lost ark. I love history and the Idea of Word War two being involved with an ancient wonder in Egypt tying in with the proving existence of god to be fascinating. How ridiculous it was didn't even bother me, I found the far-fetch unrealistic ending to be extremely entertaining and the movie was so great it could almost be believable.

For being the first Indiana Jones movie, I truly believe it set a high bar. I didn’t even think the graphics were all that bad for the insane kind we have now in modern times. They did a very good job for the beginning of the 80’s. How they presented Indiana Jones at first got me by surprise, though. After seeing him as a professor I expected him to be just a dorky archaeologist. But my knowledge of the movie poster’s and just knowing of his world wide adventures refreshed my memories of him being a tough, rugged explorer. Anyone knew to seeing the movie would be entirely thrown off I suppose.

7. Alice in Wonderland (4 of 10) (make up review)

The new Alice Wonderland movie takes place in old England and surrounds the haunted life of a girl named Alice. she has haunting dreams that add on to her stress of being wed and leaving it all fr the moment she finds herself in a fantasy world that she once dreamt of.. only to find out her dreams might have been just as clear as reality.

I found Alice in Wonderland to be one of the worst movies that I have seen lately. The story line was based on the second part of the Alice in Wonderland two part series. No one would ever know that because the movie had the original title, Alice in Wonderland. It might as well been titled the actual name, Through the Looking Glass, but in the movie she didn't go back to Wonderland through the mirror, but through the hole she had gone through in the first part of the movie/book. Or they would have titled it, Alice Returns to Wonderland in order to give the audience an idea of what to expect.

I also found the characters trying to be too strange for the movie. I understand that Wonderland isn’t supposed to make sense but it wasn’t funny or entertaining at all, it just made me extremely frustrated. The only part I enjoyed out of the movie was the graphics, but I had seen better in the movie Avatar. They did an alright job of blending the generated people in with the real looking Alice. I guess it just wasn’t real enough looking for me.

14. Wall-E (9 of 10)

Wall-E is a Disney Pixar animation film that takes place in the late future, after the world has destroyed itself. It focuses on the good nature of an innocent robot and how he strives to make things right for the people who belong on earth, and for himself.

I enjoy Disney Pixar movies, and they never fail to disappoint me. Especially Wall-E which is now one of my favorites. I think its one of the cutest movies I have ever seen. The romance between Wall-E and Eve is so bizarre because they are robots, but that also makes it a little more adorable. I also really liked how the robots in the movie had personality, and it seemed like the robots were actually living rather than just being programmed to do things around the ship or on earth. It made the movie really funny, because some of the robots on the ship were malfunctioned or outdated and it made them act crazy!

I also thought how big the people in space got due to all the years spent there was hilarious, and practical in a very silly way. I figure this movie is just all around funny. But one thing I did not like about the movie was how short the movie was. I feel like the creators could have put more length into it, but then again I guess it was more appealing to children anyway. And children do not really have the attention span for movies that are too long.

13. Dark Knight vs. Iron Man

I favor the Dark Knight over iron man any day. I respect them both as characters, and its not like one has powers and one does not, or that one’s movie quality was better. I like the story line. The Dark knight has a million things that Iron Man does not, like real romance, tragedy, and in my opinion better action and a more demented villain. Also, the combat in Iron Man is all computer imagery. I like that for cartoon’s more than in movie’s when it is going on the whole time. It makes me feel like the movie is really cheesy, even if some people think it looks great. Also, the characters are just far better. The Joker is completely more evil than Obadiah Stane. All Obadiah did was copy the machine Tony stark made, while the Joker terrorized the whole city to try and make things harder for batman.

11. The Dark Night (10 out of 10)

The Dark Night is based on a newer version of Batman, who is given a great challenge trying to protect the district attorney of Gotham, Harvey Dent, from the impressive new villain, The Joker. The story deals with intense emotions of all the characters and how they are put through great tests to find if what they are doing is really right for Gotham City.

The sequel of the newer Batman Begins I found to be one of the most amazing movies I have ever seen. I enjoyed the older Batman movie series, but one thing I did not like was the actors who played batman constantly being changed. I love how Bruce Wayne is still Christian Bale. I find him to be a terrific actor in these movies and don't think he would ever disappoint me if a few more in this series came out. However, I was disappointed in finding out that Maggie Gyllenhaal was Rachel Dawes in The Dark Night, rather than Katie Holmes like in the first Batman Begins.

I also loved how in character Heath Ledger had become by playing The Joker. I find it a little scary how he had died right after they had finished hsi part in the movie. I always wondered if it because he had become so dark and morbid like the actual Joker that it made him sick with himself and if it drove him to his demise. But anyway, the Joker's chracter was amazing and hilarious to me. His humor was so dark it desered a little laugh. I am too anxious for the third.

10. The Bourne Identity (7 out of 10)

The Bourne Identity is a film about a special operative agent Jason Bourne, and how the CIA is tracking him down to arrest, or kill him. The trouble is, he has no idea why. How he suffers from amnesia is what makes this movie such a mind trip.

The films story line was not of much interest to me, I do not really care about anything really relating to the government or any war like movies. However, the movie did not cease to grab my attention due to its suspense. Throughout the movie, certain things are being revealed, but not in any sort of cheesy way. And I really liked how at the end of the movie, he remembered the heart felt reason as to why he did not go through with the assassination job he was assigned.

And of course, the movie did not miss out on the romance part which I thought it could do without. The romance between Jason Bourne and Marie, the girl who helped him on his journey, was probably put in the movie so women would be able to stand watching it with their meat-head significant others. They’d have to do somethings like that to balance out all the action that went on throughout the movie. I really liked that part, though. Its High speed chases and hand to hand combat got my attention the most. That’s the good stuff that turned out really well in this movie.

9. The Italian Job (9 out of 10)

The Italian job is about a group of thieves who plan to steal the money they feel they are entitled too from a former member. The group gains a new member, even though it goes against their rule of being in it for emotional reasons.

The remake of the Italian Job was very appealing to me. I have never seen the original movie, but I have a feeling that i would still appreciate the newer one. movies like the Italian Job, for example the Oceans Eleven, Twelve, and Thirteen movies, are my favorite types of movies. I love the action, the extremely thought out plots for the heists, and always a shock at the end of how the main characters get away with the whole thing, and it totally throws you off. Action and heist movies overall are very entertaining in my opinion.

One of the only things that I did not like about this movie was that an actor that I really like, Edward Norton, had to play the ‘bad guy’ role. However, he did do a very good job of playing that part. I also really enjoyed on how it was filmed and the settings. Apparently the streets of Venice, Italy, and Los Angeles were closed so they could do this movie. I like that it was not all done on a set, which just bothers. Overall, I thought this movie was wonderful, but I would really love to see the original British Italian Job just to see the differences in the story.

6. The Spanish Prisoner (6 out of 10)

The Spanish Prisoner is a suspense film about a loyal employee, who is part of an elaborate confidence game, the Spanish prisoner. No one is who they really seem.

For an older movie, I guess it was not as bas as I had expected it to be. The entire plot did really surprise me at one point, and how the FBI was just another part of the scheme. I should have figured because then the movie just would have been too short. I did however, expect the main character Joe Ross' friend Susan to end up turning it all around on him and stabbing him in the back. It would have all just been too good to be true if she would have helped him.I really enjoyed how the "bad guy" of the movie, Steven Martin, and his well thought out play to steel Ross work. I really enjoy movies that have a heist or robbery of some sort.

A big thing I really did not like was how the Japanese tourists t the end of the movie, who were really cops, acted oblivious to the fact that Steve Martin was holding gun at Ross on the ferry. If any normal citizen was on the ferry and saw that I'm pretty sure they would freak out. They should have at least acted like that because I'm also sure anyone with the gun would be super sketched out either way. I don't think there would ever be a criminal so confident.

5. Serendipity (4 out of 10)

The movie Serendipity with John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale is a story of "romance, with a sense of humor". It involves two strangers who believe they are meant for each other, and decide to let fate decide the future due to their already being in other relationships.

Honestly, I did not find this movie humorous at all. I think it is expected that you would think everyone would like a movie with a chase and/or a thrill to really get you going. I found Serendipity as predictable as to the joke, "Why did the chicken cross the rode?" No need for that to be answered. Also, the film gave me anxiety, and definitely not the kind that could be relieved by finally seeing the end of the movie. I just felt like I was wasting time of my life! The movie just bugged me more than any other. Over and over again, how John and Sara had kept missing each other by an instant was too much for me. Talk about bad timing.

I find the idea that John Cossack's character, Johnathan and Kate Beckinsale’s character Sara were each dating different people and still let themselves get attached to each other plain scandalous. Truly, I do not find it funny, I find it wrong and that it goes about my morals. The frustration I got from his lying to his wife and going out to find someone else before their wedding day terrible. I guess the only thing I can appreciate is how he called the wedding off before Sara got there. That would have been trashy.

4. Finding Nemo (10 out of 10)

Finding Nemo is a story of a father, Marlin’s, quest to find his son, Nemo, and how it betters their relationship for the future. Along the journey he gains new friends and overcomes his fear of the ocean and becomes more understanding.

I really find the story of Finding Nemo quite charming. I love Pixar Animation over any other cartoon productions. It is definitely one of my favorite movies. The colors they used especially in the movie were amazing- just as bright and strange as the real ocean. The idea of an underwater world that happens to be just like ours is really amazing, and how they had the fish and other sea creatures have human like characteristics and even sharing the same emotions we do. It makes the story even easier to relate to. I guess its just a sweeter way of looking at kidnap.

I do not think that there is one bad thing about this movie that anyone could ever not like. I find Finding Nemo hilarious and heart warming. I especially enjoyed the characters that surprised you with unique traits. One of favorite characters had to be Dory. How the silly fish had short-term memory loss just made the story all too funny. Also, the three sharks were a surprise. I never expected a vegetarian shark in the ocean! I do not believe that there is one character I do not like, which is a surprise. I usually can always find a flaw in any movie.

1. Avatar (My Favorite Movie)

Avatar is a movie that takes place on the planet Pandora, where earth has traveled to mine a mineral that is extremely valuable. The people of earth try to colonize on Pandora with avatars while the natives called Na’vi  reject earth and start to act hostile as their ecosystem begins to be harmed.

I enjoyed the movie avatar so much that I went to go see it at the theatre twice. I could not get enough of the amazing graphics or the story line. Hearing how Avatar had been in development for so long prior to seeing it really got my expectations up for this movie. I was all together surprised on how strange it was. The life forms in avatar were all so unreal, and really got me thinking if that is how something could be past Alpha Centauri. The writer had even come up with a sort of religion that lived in everything, Eywa, which was like Earth's mother nature.

The whole romance ordeal in the movie was just okay for me. The first time I saw Avatar I was so angry that Jake Sully had betrayed his own kind and stayed with the Na’vi. I still enjoyed the movie, though, and my second time seeing it I realized that his acts towards the humans were just. Earth never should have put themselves in the position where they thought they could go destroy another world’s ecosystem just to better their own. It was genocide and showed how genuine Jake was to realize the wrong that was going on. I still plan on seeing this again in 3D.

3. The Karate Kid (7 out of 10)

The original 1984 Karate Kid is based on a teenage boy, Daniel's struggle to adapt with his move from New Jersey to California. Daniel's apartment handyman Mr. Miyagi struggles to teach Daniel to be a black belt in karate due to the short time he has and who he must fight at the end, Johnny, the karate champion.

The Karate Kid was a little too unreal for me to really get into. I understand I wasn't around for the early 1980's but I cannot imagine karate being the main priority of the popular guy's in high school. I also did not understand their extreme measures to make the main character Daniel's adaptation to the living area so hard. The actions of violence were so intense, like running Daniel off of a hill on his bike, or beating him severely with no mercy like the Cobra Kai were taught. I show more interest in the newer version of the Karate Kid, even though I have not seen it,  because it takes place in china and seams more likely to happen.

I really enjoyed the relationship that developed between Mr. Miyagi and Daniel, but Daniel's attitude really annoyed me. He doubted Mr. Miyagi often, and would act as if he were going to abandon the kind old man. Mr. Miyagi would then explain to Daniel all of the reasons as to why to do his chores, for example, to build muscle memory. I feel as though Daniel should have gotten upset once and then realized why he had to do those things on his own, and would have came back to apologize, being from then on super obedient to whatever was asked of him.
