The Karate Kid was a little too unreal for me to really get into. I understand I wasn't around for the early 1980's but I cannot imagine karate being the main priority of the popular guy's in high school. I also did not understand their extreme measures to make the main character Daniel's adaptation to the living area so hard. The actions of violence were so intense, like running Daniel off of a hill on his bike, or beating him severely with no mercy like the Cobra Kai were taught. I show more interest in the newer version of the Karate Kid, even though I have not seen it, because it takes place in china and seams more likely to happen.
I really enjoyed the relationship that developed between Mr. Miyagi and Daniel, but Daniel's attitude really annoyed me. He doubted Mr. Miyagi often, and would act as if he were going to abandon the kind old man. Mr. Miyagi would then explain to Daniel all of the reasons as to why to do his chores, for example, to build muscle memory. I feel as though Daniel should have gotten upset once and then realized why he had to do those things on his own, and would have came back to apologize, being from then on super obedient to whatever was asked of him.
Good content, but you must proofread read and edit. There are some misspelled words etc.
